Okay, so by now many of you have tried Tully’s French Roast, right? It seems silly that it’s taken me this long to review Tully’s French Roast since it is one of the first K-cups I tried. I used to drink an 8oz cup of it. I’d only get through half and leave the rest for the next morning (too strong). Now that I have the handy dandy Keurig Platinum, I can drink 10oz instead and have it be a little less intense.
First of all, I have to say that Tully’s does a fine job with the quality of their K-Cups. Even though the French Roast isn’t my favorite (nor are any French roasts for that matter), I can really taste the quality of the brew. This K-Cup is extra bold, packs lots of good flavor, and has lots of pep. It leaves…I don’t know if tanginess is the right word, but it leaves lots of tingles on your tongue after you sip.
A word of caution: this brew is bitter, strong, and acidic.
Side note: This is my favorite mug. My friend and her husband owned a coffee shop and bookstore and brewed with Barefoot Coffee, which is wonderful by the way. While at her house one day, I said I liked the mug, so she gave it to me!
Side side note: Said friend took on a reading project and read 200 books in one year! This is her blog: 200 books.
