I thought I should put other reviews on the back burner this week to highlight this K-Cup that Kcuptrade is giving away.
Wow, this is a nice brew! I was expecting good things from the review I read at Single Serve Coffee, and it delivered. It has a complex flavor–lots going on, but it all goes well together. The finish reminds me of espresso. Like the Caribou Sumatra it makes you pretty thirsty but otherwise I have only positive things to say. It’s somewhat bitter (bittersweet I’d say) and reminds me of dark chocolate. Actually, paired with some dark chocolate, this coffee is decadent!
You can find some extra description at Caribou Coffee’s website. As far as I know, you can only buy Obsidian K-Cups at Target. I paid 11.99 for 18 K-Cups. I still prefer the Caribou Blend for a more regular choice, but this is an interesting one for a change. It has LOTS of character.
We’ve been giving away free samples of Obsidian to the first 10 people to create a listing at Kcuptrade.com this week. One per person. The giveaway ends tomorrow at noon. Be sure to list any K-Cups you’ve been wanting to trade!
And if (like me) you are wondering what obsidian is, here you go. Be sure to scroll down to see the pretty pictures.
My wife and I love Obsidian – but seems controversial as in a recent quality change and also only available from Target? What is the real story? I’d like to buy some bulk packs for her BD if available at a reasonable price – seems K cups are getting unreasonable!
