I’m finding more and more that I need to drink a K-Cup beverage twice to be able to accurately review it. I’m either crazy about it the first time and disillusioned the second OR I don’t like it much the first time and it grows on me the next. Hence two tries are definitely in order. Yes, I am weird.
With the Tully’s Italian, I used the 10oz setting the first time and 8oz the second. I have to say the flavor was MUCH better on the 8oz setting. On the larger setting, the strong flavors led to a burnt taste and there wasn’t anything very redeeming about it.
At 8oz, this K-Cup has an espresso-like quality and is good paired with something sweet (as is the case with all coffee). I didn’t like it much on its own, but alongside some brandy bread my neighbor made, it was very enjoyable.
About the painting:
My mother-in-law is an artist and just returned from a fabulous three-week trip to Italy visiting her daughter. She painted this picture of a window in Venice. Oh, it makes me want to travel to Italy even more!
If you have an Italian roast coffee, you should brew some today and picture yourself being there too. Don’t forget to eat something sweet.
I love the Italian Roast! Had two cups this morning…
