The first time I tried Tully’s Kona Blend I really didn’t like it. But an interesting thing happened–by the second and third cups that same week, I was a fan.
Tully’s Kona is a unique blend that takes a little getting used to, but once you do, there is a lot to appreciate. It is rich, full-bodied, smooth, and obtains even more flavor as it cools. Another unique feature is its flavor goes from sweet to sour (this is the part that takes getting used to). I also enjoy its lingering finish.
This is a medium roast K-Cup I don’t mind having on a regular basis. It’s easy on my tummy too. I can only drink half a cup of the dark roasts (like Tully’s French Roast or Green Mountain Sumatra) then I save the rest for the next day. Yeah, I’m a cheapskate.
Big Easy Bold did a number on my stomach lining last week so I am taking a break from my dark roasts. I’m really curious about Green Mountain Dark Magic which I just got in the mail, but it will have to wait.
I love the Kona! So tasty and smooth 🙂
Thanks! Someone wants to trade 12 Konas with me and I’m a little wary. 12 is a lot in case I don’t like it, but i guess I can always trade back 🙂
Dark Magic is one of my top 3 dark roasts. Love it!
Dark Magic is now one of my favorites too! I have to use the 10oz setting though, otherwise–whoa!
I hope you like the Kona. It is one of my staples now.
